BHT Environ Makes an Impressive Show in Haikou and Draws Attention in and outside of Industry

The two-day Twelfth International Conference on China Urban Water Development and Expo of New Technologies and Facilities were successfully held in Haikou in November 30 – December 1. As a key exhibitor, BHT Environ left an impressive image to visitors with its patented BioComb integrated equipment for distributed wastewater, and attracted wide attention from government officials, renowned experts, the media and the industry.

The highest rank official present at the event, Chou Baoxing, Counselor of the State Council, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and President of Chinese Society for Urban Studies, visited the booth of BHT Environ and highly recognized the practices of distributed wastewater treatment by BHT Environ integrated equipment of low power consumption. He was accompanied by Shao Yisheng, Vice President and Secretary General of China Urban Water Association, and Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, Wang Qiang, Director of Hainan Water Affairs Department, and Wen Bin, Vice Mayor of Haikou Municipal People's Government.

Pan Jiantong, Chairman and General Manager of BHT Environ, made a speech titled Reviewing the History of Rural Wastewater Technology in China, and shared stories about the exploration, efforts and successful implementations of BHT Environ in distributed wastewater treatment at the Forum on Water Environmental Improvement in Rural Areas and Small Towns. He also shared a number of outstanding projects empowered the BioComb integrated equipment, and received high recognition by the audience. After the forum, more than a dozen of design institutes and environmental enterprises have expressed their intention for cooperation.

The BioComb equipment brought by BHT Environ to the export consist of high-end compact integrated wastewater treatment systems developed by BHT Environ for small or mobile distributed wastewater treatment plants based on experience in biochemical treatment in the US and Europe. With all equipment installed in a standard container, the system can be easily transferred, featuring low energy consumption, small footprint, easy operation, high standard of discharged water and various options. The water discharged from BioComb systems may meet the requirements for class 1B or 1A (or A+) while consuming power of 0.1 – 0.2 kWh per tonne of water discharged. Models with discharged water quality at the quasi-class 4 surface water may be developed for specific projects as necessary.

The BioComb equipment has been applied in dozens of projects in Hainan, Beijing, Jiangxi and many other places, including the Hainan Guilinyang Emergency Wastewater Treatment Project and the Qionghai Tayang Rural Wastewater Treatment Project, which have been made reference projects in the localities.
